Who we are
Laura Adams – Director
Laura is a proven leader in uncharted territories – as an innovator, business leader and one of the world’s foremost guides and explorers. She has a strong national and international leadership track record in governance and advisory roles, and executive-level experience in business, government and non-profit sectors.
Laura is a passionate innovator, dynamic facilitator, skilled educator and inspiring coach. She has helped people bring new ventures to market, led projects to transform existing organizations, coached individuals and teams to achieve their true potential, and brought together key thought leaders to realize bold visions for a better, brighter future.

Laura studied Business Administration, has a Masters degree in Leadership from Royal Roads University and a certificate in Business Innovation from Stanford’s IDEO U. She is a PMI Project Management Professional and a certified facilitator of Investment Logic Mapping and Lominger Leadership Architect. The Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada recognized her as Scholar for her Master’s research in decision-making, and in 2019 Laura was inducted as a Fellow to the Royal Canadian Geographic Society for her contributions to science, education and research. Currently Laura sits on the advisory committee for the Center for Tourism Policy and Research at Simon Fraser University.
An explorer at heart, Laura was one of the first handful of women in Canada to be certified by the Association of Canadian Mountain Guides. She has led expeditions to explore remote cultures and landscapes around the world, and has been recognized as one of the world’s most adventurous women.
Raised in the beautiful Kootenay region of British Columbia, Laura has lived and worked in both the northern and southern hemispheres. She is a published author and landscape oil painter whose work has been showcased in galleries, media and in private collections. Laura lives in Nelson BC, Canada.
